It’s strange that Google Chrome doesn’t let you view image properties easily. Just the other day I was trying to see an image properties and, to my annoyance, I couldn’t do it.
The View Image Info (properties) extension lets you do just that. It lets you easily see an image size, URL and more through right click menu.
Get properties(including dimensions, URL, file size, file type info) of the image your cursor is pointing to via context menu.

It happens very often that Google Chrome doesn’t prompt to save passwords, and eventually doesn’t remember the password when you revisit the login page. For example Facebook.
It can be annoying if you switched from Firefox because it remembered all passwords.
There are two methods to get around this.
1) Use the Autocomplete = on addon.
Are there some websites where the browser never prompts to remember your password? It might not be the browser’s fault — it could be the webpage telling the browser not to save the password. If you don’t like having to remember these or write them down, you can use this extension to allow the browser to save the password.
Download Autocomplete = on Chrome addon
2) If it doesn’t work, visit the login page using Firefox and enter your username and password. Firefox will save it. Now import Firefox passwords into Chrome.

Next time you visit the site using Google Chrome, It’ll remember the password and auto fill it for you.

Chrome Addon: TabJump
Does this scenario look familiar?
You start your browsing session, and start opening your favorite sites in separate tabs, then you come across new interesting links that you open into new tabs.
You have a big stack of tabs sitting in your browser before you know it, and you feel completely lost.
This is where TabJump comes in. TabJump is a Google Chrome tab manager / navigator. It lets you quickly jump to most used tabs, related tabs to your current tab and much more.
Here are main features at a glance:
- Jump to frequently used tabs
- Jump to related tabs (tabs from the same site, etc)
- Restore recently closed tabs
- Lock a tab to prevent accidental closing (only work for tabs loaded after TabJump is installed)
Download and install Chrome addon TabJump here

Chrome Addon Mouse Gestures
Chrome doesn’t include mouse gestures by default. But thanks to this nifty addon, you can drag your mouse around the web pages to navigate back and forth and perform other tasks.
If you’re new to mouse gestures, here’s how they work. You hold down your right mouse button, then drag your mouse in certain direction – for example to left – and whatever is assigned to that particular mouse gesture will be performed, like going back to the last web page. Pretty cool, huh?
Mouse stroke also lets you define your own mouse stokes (gestures) other than the predefined ones.
Install Mouse Stroke Chrome addon here.

Google Chrome publishes new releases to the Dev channel frequently. The Dev channel gives the community access to upcoming features, features in development, and the latest bug fixes. We can use feedback from Dev channel users to improve and iterate on feature ideas, and make sure that the latest features work properly before we release them to a wider audience.
The Dev channel is useful for:
- Web developers who want to test their sites or scripts with pre-release versions of Google Chrome
- Testers who need to make sure they’re working with the latest bug fixes
- Anyone who wants to help make Google Chrome better — your feedback helps us turn good new features into great features, and using the Dev channel is a simple way for anyone to help.
Note: Dev channel releases are less stable than Beta channel releases. Expect the occasional “sad tab” or even browser crashes (if you turn on ‘Help make Google Chrome better..’ in Options, we’ll get the crash reports so we can fix the bugs).
Automatic updates of new Dev channel releases are published every 1-2 weeks
Subscribing to the Dev channel
- Download and run the Google Chrome Channel Chooser (http://chromium.googlecode.com/files/chromechannel-1.0.exe).
- Click the circle next to Dev.
- Click Update to save your choice.
- Click Close.
- In Google Chrome, click the wrench menu and choose About Google Chrome.
Note: On Windows Vista, updates from the About box require Service Pack 1. With 0.2.149.29 (the current release), on demand updates do not work in Vista SP1 if User Account Control is disabled.
- Click Update Now to install the current Dev channel release.
- Restart Google Chrome.
